raw packet reception in matlab

Hi,
   I have a hardware board which will send debug data. please note there is no header information in that debug data [i mean MAC header,IP header, TCP/UDP header].

few questions on it
1. Is there any way, i can receive data without header [MAC header,IP header, TCP/UDP header] information in Simulink or Matlab.
2. If at all i have to write my own code [receiving code] in Matlab, Simulink what is the best place to start with and any hints/suggestions to achieve it.
